On His Own Two Feet

Ezra has started to stand on his own this week. He has been pulling himself up on things for while now but has never been brave enough to let go. He finally decided that he was brave enough. He was very cute. He was standing with me (I was sitting next to him) holding onto my shoulder.  He very carefully let go with one hand, then got his balance and very slowly let go with the other hand. He was so excited that he only stood there for a few seconds. Since then he is getting better and better. We get him on his feet and he can stand there for 30-40 seconds. He holds his breath and gets so excited every time. He usually moves a lot when he is excited so I think he has to sit down to get out the excitement. It is really cute! In other news he had his first fever a week and half ago. He woke up with it on a Thursday and had it until Sunday sometime. We discovered on Sunday that he was cutting another tooth, a molar. It looked so painful and the poor little guy was so grumpy. That was probably what caused the runny nose and fever but I am not sure. What ever it was the fever was gone on Sunday and has not come back. The tooth is about half way through and has not seemed to bother him since about Tuesday. After going through this with Ezra I am left in amazement that Caleb went through teething without so much as a whimper. How did he do that?!?
