Fun In The Sun
Ezra has had a few firsts this week. We have had some really nice weather and have been able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. Caleb was out drawing on the driveway with sidewalk chalk, so I sat Ezra in the grass to see what he would do. He was really unsure for about 20 seconds. Then he decided it was fun to play in and started crawling around. A few minutes later he crawled up to the steps of our front porch. He then proceeded to crawl up the steps, by himself. Yeah that was a first and I was quite shocked. I didn’t help him at all, just stood behind him to make sure he didn’t fall. Another first that day was discovered my dirt in my planters. I let him play for a minute, again to see what he would do. I then looked up and he had dirt all over his chin. I missed the photo op and didn’t get a picture. I ended up pulling a large chuck of dirt out of his mouth. Funny how he has been so picky about food and dirt does not even phase him. He was quite upset when I picked him up, took him inside and washed his hands and face off. Then today we took the kids to a small beach on Lake Washington about 15 minutes from home. It was a beautiful day we wanted to get out to enjoy it. Caleb loved throwing rocks in the water and Ezra loved sitting in the sand, playing with it, and again trying to eat it. It was the first time he has really played in the sand. He has been to the beach before but he was much younger. He had a great time!
